Twitter Tweaks – Basics

Twitter is a fast, easy, and free way to get your online marketing going in the right direction. Today I’m going to give you two basic Twitter Tweaks that will improve your marketing results immediately, starting on day 1. These are simple, but powerful tweaks. Unfortunately, most people fail to use them because they don’t understand the power of them or just don’t know how to set them up. If you don’t have a Twitter account yet, you should get one ASAP! Twitter Tweak #1 

Use your Bio Description in your Profile! Make it dynamic! Make it compelling! When people are deciding whether to follow you or not, they go to your Profile to check you out. make them want to follow you. Make sure you have a photo. Preferably of you. People want to know who you are and what you look like. A lot of potential followers will skip over you if you don’t have a photo. Give potential followers a reason to follow you. How are you going to add value to their lives? Put that in your profile. Put the url’s of the websites that you want people to go to in your profile. Make it like a Call to Action. You can fit one url in your description and one url in the website area. The important thing is to get your photo and a description in your Profile. It doesn’t have to be perfect to start. You can always edit it later. Get ideas by looking at the Profiles of others. Especially people you follow and people in your niche that have many followers.

Twitter Tweak #2

Marketing has, and always will be, a battle for your prospects attention.

If you are going to stand out from the crowd and attract attention, engage and win more customers and clients, you’re going to have to do things and use techniques and strategies that your competitors aren’t using.

Luckily for you today this little-used Tweet Pinning strategy takes about 3 seconds of your time and can pay very large dividends for that ‘effort.’

Your Pinned Tweet is visible to every new visitor of your profile. It will always be the first Tweet they see.

How to Pin A Twitter Post

Pinning a post to Twitter has to be one of the easiest marketing actions you will ever take. Are you ready?

1) You can tweet a message including your link or picture as you would normally do. If you have created a compelling Bio Description with a call to action/URL then I recommend duplicating it as a Tweet and add an image if you can.

2) After the tweet goes live click on the three dots at the bottom right of the Tweet.

3) Select the ‘Pin to your profile page’ option from the menu.

4) Congratulations you are all done!
