Avon and the Avon Foundation for Women have unveiled a powerful new call to action for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2015: #BeABreastFriend. Use this hashtag to remind your friends to check themselves and talk to their doctors about breast health.

#BeABreastFriend is the latest step in the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, which raises funds and awareness for critical research and access to care programs. #BeABreastFriend calls on women to make their best friends’ breast health their priority, encourages women to make a promise to their friends to discuss breast health openly, and reminds women of the need for screenings and doctor visits, as early detection of breast cancer dramatically increases survival rates.

Women talk about everything with their best friends – everything, except the topic of breast health. It’s time for us to step up and encourage our ‘breast friends’ to know their risks, know their bodies, and talk to their doctors.

This video shines the spotlight on the #BeABreastFriend hashtag by capturing real, unedited conversations by women with their best friends.

While the subject may seem awkward at first, women typically appreciate the comfort, support and encouragement from close family and friends after discussing breast cancer.
